This Invitation automatically includes Dance-Community, Musicians, Healers, Writers, Therapists, Performers, Visual Artists and ANYONE who, for personal reasons, can identify with the notion of being a "Cultural Creative".

The reason being is, all the above mentioned folks are already deeply immersed seekers, explorers and proactive mystics through their own volition, magic and humanity.

They, that is WE, all carry the Liberal-Arts understanding that we must now function in hot pursuit of mutual Well-Meaning, Well-Being, Renewal, Dignity, Belonging, Forgiveness, Compassion, Peace, Respect, Participation, Justice, Equality, Liberty, Gravity and, perhaps most of all, Levity.

Not all people identify as an 'Artist', but all Children and adult-Children, that is Creatures, are innately creative by nature.

We all have the singularly innate gift, miracle, fact and function of our own Selves.

This is Agency.

This BEAUTY SALON is Not an invitation for all manner of Escapism.

Rather, this BEAUTY SALON, is a CALL for all manner of Discernment.

For, a much needed Humanitarian, AND More-than-Human-centric MOVEMENT is what this

BEAUTY SALON intends.

That is why

this invitation Stops at just anyone out of "The Public".

BEAUTY SALON operates on 2-Tracks for 2-Kinds of Participation & Interest:

1) Those seeking Personal Growth & Expression, further Self-Initiation & Community Connection.

2) Those seeking the same, but are also coming from a Performance-Oriented Passion.

Exploration.. Discovery.. Expression.. Renewal.. Initiation..

EMBODIMENT.. DISCERNMENT.. INTUITION.. IMPROVISATION.. VOICE..

Your truth.. Your entire, unified experience and Being.. explored, expressed and Self-governed..

..is the objective here.

This Absurdist-Holistic Beauty-devoted, Collective-Salon & Variety-Cabaret

is an ever-renewing process and effort of cultivating and celebrating the mystery of Capital-L, Life.

The Life, Your Life, Anyone's singular Life, according to clearly evident, western alchemical aims and objectives, was, first and foremost, considered a divine Secret. THE Great Secret, beyond living an overly moral life, was to enjoy our singularly genuine authorship to existence both within consciousness and participating, through it, locally and cosmologically.

That is, as a romance and journey, with and of, the soul.

The pre-Christian, ancient Hermetists were not so limited as we appear to be today.

They were not impacted by an obsession with Original Sin because it did not yet exist.

It was not in their wheel-house.

While the Christian message has a lot more and better to offer than the assumption of disgrace and guilt from birth onward, the Hermetists were devoted to Enlarging the soul, Not Saving it.

They made of themselves a microcosm within of all that appeared in the macrocosm around and beyond them. That is, as both mysterious-sacred and secular-profane.

As above, so below. As without, so within.

Women and men were taught to accept, behold and flourish in their own life-giving divinity

and that this earthly realm around us is the paradise found inside, that mirrors what is known deeply outside.

This choice and effort is always available to us.

We, my friends, do not have to carry forward the all-too subliminal, historic-mantle of "born-sinners".

Shrek yourself, before you wreck yourself.

We do far better in spreading joy and wellness through correct and unhindered Self-possession.

George Bernard Shaw would say, "Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself."

Not the ego-dream possession, ever-struggling against our imagined limitations. No. Not our small-self aspirations.

But in recognizing that, on this life-journey, Self-initiation never ends.

We as individual are both where the party is AND where sweet, hallowed solitude abounds.

The Life is The Great Secret.

Ok, sure! We say we're sunk! Learn to swim.

Feel lost? Creatures create best with no manual, from no where, from solitude.

We are always growing, flailing, refining, failing, deliberating and liberating.

All forms of Self-initiation.

We pick up. We put down.

All that serves and does not serve us.

Pick up. Put down.

Establish simple allegory of Action

rather than any unruly, "unavoidably loaded" or troublesome and unconscious Reception.

That is, any overwhelm by that which distracts, riddles, hinders or confuses.

We balance the mechanism of The REAL (pick up, put down), which is, the steadfast fact of our physiological-imagination and agency, aka "Creature"-dom,

against the mysticism of The IDEAL (a swimming cacophony of merely mental "contents"),

which is, the fading-out of falsely Real-Eyesed "seeing" or "thinking" and auto-elitist privacy aka "Citizen"-hood.

Which is to say, integrate or reconcile our creature-Being with all our citizen-Doing.

We are human Beings not Doings!

Balance the receptive-practical both within and without, with the active-rational both without and within.

Note: There is vast subtlety beyond the mere telling of all this. Comprehending these terms can only take us so far.

Though I juxtapose living-variables like "Creature" and "Citizen" here, it is in the embodied, real-time practices I offer, that participants are able to take flight through the sacred sauce of their Imaginations.

My distinctions can only, ultimately "paint the kettle black".

The "kettle" is actually rainbow-iridescent and holds the entire, blood-pumping, vision-emerging spectrum of your experience, multiple variations, lucid permutations and sublime imaginal journeys.

So, in truth, the invitation here is to be Life-Agents more often and comfort or privacy Privates less so.

From here we are The Empowered Self, not The Victim.

To be strictly systematic: From here we are only limited or illuminated by our imaginations.

Yes, there is all that exists already between these two extremes. But to become a light-transmitter of transformation rather than caught in the tumult that keeps scarcity and the doom-view alive, why not turn-on our active-imaginations and be the change that needs to happen?!

It needs to be repeated again and again: All the talking heads today touting signs of fateful disasters on the horizon are actually pointing to a transformation, on both the individual and "world" levels, that might get overlooked. The question that must be asked to align with our inner and outer, radical transformation, no matter what we're doing with our lives, is How, precisely, shall we proceed on the journey? For me, there is only one central, all-encompassing, life-affirming answer:

I will align with it. Whatever is to come, I will engage in it creatively.

I must not fight against what comes to pass in resistance. I must nor simply fear it. That is Not enough!

I will offer my expression to coincide with it's nature and direction.

Both far beyond and immediately beneath and within our very constitutions and world-views.

Renew your outworn maps! Put like with like. Re-define your terms.

Your world-view has a corresponding "word-view". Use it.

NOW thyself.

This Absurdist-Holistic Salon

is a primer for becoming more informed, empowered, active and creative by the simple miracle and sheer absurdity of our very existence. That is, a certain liberation and graduation beyond the all-too-earnest and serious strictures imposed by those societal and cultural factors that undermine our total well-being and solitary emancipation.

No.

"We are the ones we've been looking for."

For we do not have to exist or function in the way we are conditioned to believe.

We may not "exist" at all.

The fallacy of personhood ought never to have extended beyond ourselves and/or being convinced from outside.

Where Dogma barks, "Proof! Proof!", "Catma" meows empowered from total indifference.

Therefore!

An intelligent pageant of self-as-soul-passions, this Salon represents a desire to bring awareness to critical, primarily local, place-based and also planetary issues with a matter-of-fact exactitude and sovereign-awareness-spin that assures we are not helpless numbskulls, but tried and true survivors in the soup of Life,

right up to this moment.

Meet Life and explore our themes exactly where they happen.

Do you want to be a survivor? Then own and hone an expression of your survivor.

Want to be a "failure"? Then be an absurdist and "fail" immaculately and ON PURPOSE.

In case you've missed the memo, there is no official 'sanity' anywhere, any-when or any-how.

It has only become too 'sane-itizing' to qualify, so definitively, "insanity" or "sanity".

If this sounds naive, too assuming or that it comes from a privileged place, I assure you it is only an admonition and invitation to Define Your Own Terms.

This Absurdist-Holistic Salon & Mystical-Beauty-Cabaret

is an effort to shed light upon the deep-ecology of Soil, Soul and Society as entirely interconnected factions of our Creature-participation in real, unqualified and unquantifiable existence.

An overt command to get out of our own way and reconcile who we want to be with who we truly are.

Also by NOT mistaking life "out there" (so dire, urgent and personal) for The Life (the great secret) "in here".

The high view from The Higher Self?!: The Sacred-Beautiful is The Holistic-Absurd.

That is, demonstrating that correct-absurdism is equivalent to keenly acquired, conscious liberation AND demonstrating the absurdity of wrongly comprehending world-circumstances through the Either/Or mode of assumed defeat, limitation, obstruction, scarcity and victimhood.

This is the foundation of the presentation of this Holistic-Absurdist Cabaret.

The experimentation, invention and preparation takes place behind the scenes in the collective-Salon work-space.

Through liberated and playful connection and radical Self-expression, we amass stories, slogans, contexts and vignettes that legitimize the Holistic-Absurd Frame of Reference.

The Absurd lens being just as valid as The Beautiful, The True, The Virtuous, Freedom, Wonder or any other lens worthy of celebrating and paradigm-ing through.

The Beautiful (define it as you like) and The Absurd (behold it as you will) are related as both corollaries and, in certain respects, equivalents. How might this be so?

Well, just like The Beautiful, The Absurd can only actually be known from the individual stand-point, and the Absurd is equally an individually-ascribed experience one can reside in and report on. Like prayer, which doesn't wash if it's merely a petition to the universe, (asking for what is wanted instead of feeling into what is already both best and true), the laughter and mirth (however momentary) coming from an experience of The Absurd is also a feeling and a muscle. It is the personal, compelling, giddy, secret, and not-so-secret cosmic giggle.

Like so many things desired after, it must be exercised to grow, become stronger and help us flourish.

It's the journey, not the destination.

The mystery, not expectation.
